Dr Doug ParkerDr Parker Dr Doug Parker is a general ophthalmologist with subspecialist expertise in diseases of the cornea and ocular surface. He holds a PhD from Flinders University of South Australia and has completed post-graduate fellowships with the Fred Hollows Foundation and at Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in London. Dr Parker’s surgical repertoire includes cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, pterygium surgery, and surgery for tumours of the ocular surface. He practises solely on the Central Coast as a director of Coastwide Eye Surgery, performing private operations at Central Coast Day Hospital and Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer in the Central Coast Local Health District, providing cataract surgery for patients without health insurance. When not helping people with their vision, Doug enjoys riding his road bike and serves his local church community by playing the guitar.
